A MicroWriter ML3 Mesa has been successfully installed within the University of California Berkeley. The desktop machine has 0.6um resolution and will be used within the research group of Prof. Feng Wang of the UC Berkeley Physics Dept. Prof. Wang is an expert in light-matter interaction in condensed matter physics, with an emphasis on novel physical phenomena emerging in nanoscale structures and at surfaces/interfaces. The MicroWriter ML3 is particular well adapted to making electrical contacts to single micro-objects, such as graphene flakes or other 2D materials.
